In The summer of 2019, I had just left my job as a youth pastor. It was a position that I truly loved. My favourite part of it was leading and developing people, golly I miss my people! I was not sure what was next, truthfully, I was floundering. My husband kept asking me what was next, and I just wasn’t sure. I had taken part one of the life coaching training and figured I would finish the remainder and see where it took me. I did not have a business plan, or life plan, or any plan at all. (I really needed a coach!) I just knew I loved to partner with people to help them grow and develop. That’s when Kamiyah Coaching was born. The desire to build something was powerful and exciting!
Four years ago I couldn’t imagine how it would grow into the organization it now is. We launched with Ted doing executive and career coaching, and me doing anxiety and energy work.
Life is about evolving and growing, or we become stale and wilt and we are growing! I am thrilled to announce that our son, Sean Chisholm will be joining Kamiyah as a Life Coach. I’ll let him explain in his own words what he offers, but suffice it to say we are very excited to have him on our team.
If you have a young adult in your life, who needs a Life Coach, I would highly encourage you to reach out to Sean. If nothing changes, nothing changes. Make the call today.
I can’t wait to see the partnerships and growth that will unfold.
Sending love and light,
Let me introduce myself
I’m thrilled to introduce myself and share an exciting opportunity with you. My name is Sean, and I am a professional life coach with a particular passion for helping young professionals navigate the complexities of their careers and personal growth journeys. I bring to our sessions a unique blend of expertise with a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and professional Life Coaching Training from the Adler School of Psychology. Let me provide you with some insight into how this specialization aligns perfectly with my life coaching approach for young professionals.
What is Industrial/Organizational Psychology?
Industrial/Organizational Psychology, often referred to as I/O Psychology, is a field that focuses on the study and application of psychological principles in the workplace. It involves understanding human behaviour and performance within organizations, as well as enhancing individual and group productivity. We delve into topics such as employee motivation, leadership development, work satisfaction, and the design of effective training programs. Now, you might wonder, how does this relate to life coaching for you? The connection is both profound and practical:
- Tailored Guidance: With my I/O Psychology background, I have a deep understanding of how workplace dynamics, leadership styles, and organizational structures influence career growth. This knowledge enables me to offer highly customized coaching sessions tailored to your unique career goals and aspirations.
- Real-World Experience: My academic foundation in I/O Psychology is complemented by hands-on experience, allowing me to help clients navigate real-world challenges in their careers. I’ve successfully guided individuals through various professional hurdles and helped them achieve remarkable results.
- Holistic Development: I/O Psychology emphasizes the importance of a balanced work-life environment. As your coach, I’ll integrate these principles into our coaching sessions to ensure your personal well-being is as important as your career success.
- Accountability and Support: Just as I/O Psychology emphasizes teamwork and collaboration, my coaching approach is all about partnership. I will be your dedicated partner, providing steadfast support, encouragement, and accountability throughout your journey.
I invite you to explore the possibilities and embark on a transformative journey with me as your guide, leveraging the insights and strategies that stem from my foundation in I/O Psychology. Whether you’re looking to accelerate your career, find purpose, improve your leadership skills, or simply enhance your overall life satisfaction, I’m here to help you unlock your potential and achieve your dreams.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to connect for a complimentary consultation. During this session, we can discuss your goals, explore how Coaching and I/O Psychology principles can benefit you, and determine if we’re a good fit to work together.
